FoodLoot Ventures
Version: 2.1 — version 2 (10 August 2026) with the delivery changes
Effective Date: 21 September 2026
These terms apply to you if you sell food you cook at home through FoodLoot. They sit on top of the Vendor Agreement.
You cook fresh the same day, you are honest about what is in the bag, and you hand it over at your gate. We keep your home address hidden until someone has paid. Our fee is paid by the customer — nothing is taken out of your share. And you are never obliged to cook: if you do not post food, nothing happens.
These Home Kitchen Terms apply to you if you sell food you cook at home through FoodLoot ("Homechef").
They sit on top of the FoodLoot Vendor Agreement. Where the two differ, THESE terms apply to you. To be specific, the following parts of the Vendor Agreement do NOT apply to Homechefs:
You are not a FoodLoot employee, and this is not a job. You choose whether to cook, what to cook, and when to sell. Nothing here obliges you to post food on any day.
To sell as a Homechef you must:
We do NOT ask you to hold the commercial food-manufacturing licences a factory or restaurant needs — those rules are written for businesses of a different kind, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we ask is that you meet the home-kitchen standard in section 3 and stay on the right side of any law that does apply to you.
We may ask for CNIC or address proof before approval, to confirm you are who you say you are.
You are solely responsible for the safety of every bag you sell. You agree that:
If you would not serve it to your own family that day, do not sell it.
If a customer asks what is in a bag, you must answer honestly and promptly — especially about nuts, eggs, dairy, seafood, and gluten.
Never describe food as something it is not. If a bag is beef, do not let a customer believe it is chicken. If you cook in a kitchen where nuts are used, say so when asked.
A false or careless answer about allergens is grounds for immediate and permanent removal.
Every bag must be packed in clean, food-grade, unused containers, sealed well enough to survive a bike ride.
Do not reuse containers that previously held food, chemicals, or paint. Leaking or burst packaging is treated as a quality failure against you.
We protect your exact address by design:
If you offer delivery, your pickup address, gate photo and pickup instructions are also given to the delivery partner's rider collecting that order. They are shared only for that collection, and the partner must delete them within 30 days.
In return, you agree not to defeat that protection yourself: do not put your full home address in your brand name, bag description, or photos.
We record every time a customer unlocks a chef's address, and we watch those records for abuse.
Pickups happen at your gate or door. For your safety and theirs:
Riders will show you the customer's order code. Check it in the app before handing over, and take the handover photos when asked.
If a customer behaves in a way that makes you feel unsafe, do not hand over the bag — contact FoodLoot support immediately. We will handle the refund, and we can block that customer from ordering from you again.
Life happens — illness, guests, load-shedding, a family emergency.
If you have not posted a batch, you do not need to tell us anything. Nothing is owed and nobody is coming.
If you HAVE posted and can no longer honour it, tell FoodLoot support as early as you can. We cancel the orders and refund those customers in full. Cancelling a batch that people already paid for is costly to them and to us, so repeated late cancellations count against you.
We would always rather fix a problem with you than remove you. If we have a concern we will tell you what it is, and you will have a chance to explain before any decision — except where someone's safety is at immediate risk, where we may pause your kitchen first and talk straight afterwards.
Things that can lead to a pause or, if they continue or are serious, to removal:
MONEY YOU HAVE ALREADY EARNED IS STILL PAID TO YOU, even if we part ways. The only exceptions: refunds for bags that did not meet what you promised may be deducted, and where we are actively investigating fraud we may hold a payout while we do — we will tell you if that happens and how long we expect it to take.
Before approval, someone from FoodLoot will usually visit or video-call to see your kitchen. It is a conversation, not an inspection — we are checking the basics in section 3 and answering your questions. Approval is at our discretion and is not guaranteed.
After you join, we may ask to visit again if we receive a complaint about safety or hygiene. We will give you reasonable notice and come at a time that suits you. If you repeatedly decline a reasonable request to look into a genuine complaint, we may pause your kitchen until we can.
You tell us what your food is normally worth. Your share of that value is the rate agreed with you, and your app shows you the exact figures for every bag size before you list anything — what you receive, and what the customer pays.
WE DO NOT TAKE A COMMISSION OUT OF YOUR SHARE. FoodLoot charges the CUSTOMER a flat service fee, added on top of your share at checkout. Nothing is deducted from the amount shown to you as yours.
The customer still pays less than the food is worth, and that is the whole point: the saving is what makes someone try a cook they have never heard of, and it is why you reach customers who would never have found you.
Where you have given a range for a bag size, you are paid on the LOWEST figure in that range — so keep the two numbers close together.
Payouts go to the bank account you gave us, on FoodLoot's normal weekly payout cycle. If your rate or the customer service fee changes, we will tell you before it takes effect, and you are free to stop selling if you do not agree.
FoodLoot is a marketplace. We do not cook, store, handle or pack your food. If you offer delivery, FoodLoot delivers it to the customer through a delivery partner, and from the moment the rider collects the order, problems in transit are FoodLoot's to deal with, not yours, unless they were caused by your packing.
The sale is between you and the customer. You are responsible for the food you sell — including any illness, injury or loss it causes — and if a claim is brought against FoodLoot because of food you prepared, you cover us for it.
This cuts both ways: we are responsible for our own side. If a customer is let down because the app failed, took a payment wrongly, or released your details when it should not have, that is ours to answer for, not yours.
You can stop selling at any time — simply stop posting food, or ask support to close your kitchen. Money you have already earned is still paid to you on the normal cycle, subject only to the two exceptions in section 9.
If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you at least 14 days before it takes effect, and the version you accepted stays on record. Continuing to sell after a change takes effect means you accept it; if you would rather not, you can stop selling and still be paid what you have earned.
To run your kitchen on FoodLoot we hold: your name and contact details, your CNIC (identity check only), your home address and its location, the gate photo and pickup instructions you write, your bank details for payouts, and your order history.
WHO SEES YOUR HOME ADDRESS: only you, the FoodLoot staff who need it to support you, a customer who has actually paid for food from you — released around their pickup time and no earlier — and, if you offer delivery, the delivery partner's rider collecting that order (section 6). It is never shown publicly, never on the map, and never handed to anyone else. Every time a customer unlocks it, we record that.
YOUR GATE PHOTO is stored privately and shown only to a customer with a paid order, and to the rider collecting a delivery order (section 6).
YOUR BANK DETAILS are used to pay you, and for the tax records we are required to keep.
WE DO NOT SELL YOUR INFORMATION and we do not give it to other cooks or businesses.
When you leave, ask us and we will delete your address, gate photo and pickup instructions. We keep order and payment records for as long as the law requires us to.
You are responsible for your own tax affairs on what you earn. If Pakistani law ever requires FoodLoot to withhold or report anything on payments to you, we will comply with it and tell you.
Sections 6, 7 and 12 above already include these changes. They come from the schedule to the Vendor Agreement and are listed here so you can see exactly what changed.
These changes to the Home Kitchen Terms (version 2, 10 August 2026) take effect when delivery is switched on for a home chef:
These terms sit on top of the FoodLoot Vendor Agreement, which also applies to you.
