What is a Surprise Bag?

Food a participating business made for the day but didn’t sell, packed by that business for pickup. You reserve it in FoodLoot and collect it from the branch.

What can be inside a Surprise Bag?

Whatever the business has left that day, so the contents change. The listing’s photos and description show the kind of food to expect, not the exact items.

What sizes are there?

Small, Medium and Large. Each size has a minimum worth the business has to meet. Not every business offers all three, so check the listing.

What does “worth” mean?

It’s the business’s estimate of the normal price of what’s in the bag, and businesses must not inflate it. If a bag is clearly worth much less than shown, report it in the app.

When do I collect it?

During the pickup window shown on your order, from the branch shown. If you don’t collect before the window ends, the order is a no-show and isn’t refunded, because the business has held your food.

How does pickup work?

Show your QR code or 4-digit pickup code at the counter. The business checks it and photographs your packed order before handing it over. Anyone with your code can collect for you, so share it only with someone you trust.

What if the business is closed or doesn’t have my order?

Contact FoodLoot through the app, before you leave if you can. You’ll get a full refund.

How can I pay?

Debit or credit card, Easypaisa, JazzCash, Neem instalments or your LootWallet. Checkout shows the total before you pay.

Can I cancel an order?

Orders are final once paid. If the business cancels, you get a full refund. If the bag sells out after you’ve paid, the refund is automatic.

What happens if there’s a problem with my order?

Open the order in FoodLoot and tap Get help within 12 hours of pickup, with at least one photo. Each case is reviewed individually. Refunds go to your LootWallet within 3 working days of the decision, not back to your card. Not liking the surprise contents isn’t covered.

What about allergies or dietary needs?

Surprise Bags are made up on the day, so allergens can’t be confirmed in advance. If you have a serious allergy, don’t order a Surprise Bag. For other allergies, halal or diet questions, ask support before ordering, and check labels and ask the business when you collect.

How soon should I eat it?

It’s usually best the same day. Follow any storage instructions from the business or on labels, and don’t eat anything that looks, smells or tastes wrong. Report it instead.

How do I join as a business?

Apply in the FoodLoot vendor portal. It takes 10 steps, most businesses finish in 15–20 minutes, and approvals usually take 24–48 hours.

How are businesses paid?

Weekly, by bank transfer, for orders that were collected and for no-shows. There’s no minimum payout.

What does FoodLoot charge?

Before you list, the app shows each bag size’s worth, what you receive, FoodLoot’s fee and the customer price. Rates are set per business, and FoodLoot gives at least 14 days’ notice before changing them.

Do all branches of a brand take part?

Not necessarily. A brand name alone doesn’t mean every branch participates, so check the specific branch in FoodLoot.
